The history of this wide and productive period of European art and American projection, is studied starting with the analysis of the great creators, from the Florentine quattrocento to the Rococco of the first half of the C. XVIII. This implies a severe selection of painters, sculptors and architects that we consider fundamental in terms of their later influence; we contemplate History of Art subjects imparted at the University of Valencia that expand on different aspects of production in this period. Four fundamental introductory topics are considered, corresponding to the Renaissance, Mannerism, Baroque and Rococco, approaching the generalities of each successive and often imbricate trends. Spanish art and applied arts are excluded. |
