| The subject chronologically covers the period between, approximately, the mid-XVIII century to the the middle of the XIX century. As one can see from the program presented here, it has been done without aiding the sequencing of stylistic approaches to force an analysis of individual values of both the artists and of the different spaces in which the different artistic movements arise and are developed. In this way, the natural process of artistic creation is understood as a flow of ideas and influences that are drawn on a changing and permeable panorama, built on solid bases inspired by tradition. By taking this position, our aim is for students to: 1. Gain in-depth understanding of the aesthetic currents of the second half of the XVIII century and of the first half of the XIX century. 2. Analyze the aesthetic, stylistic, morphological and formal changes in the different artistic manifestations 3. Investigate the classic vocabulary in the modern time. 4. Lastly, gain understanding of the artistic phenomenon as a wide and plural, varied and diverse means of expression. |
