| The general objective is to introduce students to knowlegde on historiography, particularly current tendencies thought, taking as a starting point different theoretical focuses to stimulate students critical thought. With this purpose, main schools of thought from the beginning of the XIX century to the present time will be revised, putting special emphasis on the historical contexts and corresponding philosophical and historiographical currents. Likewise, historiographycal thought in Spain and the Valencian Country, and outstanding figures who developed these tendencies, will be reviewed, in connection with the international, and more specifically the European contexts. |
