The course offers an analysis of Modern Age European society from diverse perspectives. Starting with a revision on the histiographic evolution during this period, the course will continue with a study on social history. Recent investigation tendencies approach the following topics: history of the family and cultural history of social relationships. Classic analysis will be made on the different social classes, differentiating the privileged condition of the elite and the two larger social groups; the urban and rural classes. Finally, the main social conflicts are reviewed, both in the rural and urban environment from a sociopolitical perspective. |
