| To understand the phases and process whereby a document is issued, establishing the difference between public and private documents. To clarify the differences between the various types of original documents, as well as copies and registrations. To provide the student the necessary strategies used to study documents and certificates. To clarify the genesis of papal document elaboration. To identify the different characters that intervene in the documental process. To distinguish the characteristics of the most important types of documents in the Papal Chancellery and the Crown of Aragon. To provide students with an understanding of the origin medieval notary system, analyzing the socioeconomic and cultural issues that caused their appearance. To understand the value of notarial process in history and research possibilities they offer. |
