TOPIC I: THEATER IN THE XIX CENTURY: OSCAR WILDE AND GEORGE BERNARD SHAW.
ûOscar Wilde: biography and polemic. The Importance of Being Earnest. Farce and social satire in Lady Windermere's Fan.
ûG. B. Shaw and the thesis of theatre. The influence of Ibsen, Chejov and Strindberg. The theater as a dramatic novel: demarcation and prejudice in Bernard Shaw. The interest of its forewords. Plays Pleasant and Plays Unpleasant. Mrs. Warren's Profession, as social theater.
TOPIC II: DRAMATIC LITERATURE AND THEATER IN THE XX CENTURY.
ûInnovation and conservatism in literature and contemporary British theater. The classic repertoire and contemporary texts. More important dramatic and theatrical lines of the XX century.
TOPIC III: THE PLACE OF REPRESENTATION:
