Objetius
Emphasis is placed on providing the student with a good understanding of the way the modern market economies work. One important target is to make the student conscious of the central role played by incentives and prices in allocating resources. Moreover, we want to provide a comprehensive exposition of the basic tools used in intermediate microeconomics: optimizing agents, equilibrium concept and comparative statics, with which we obtain a rational explanation of the price determination process in both commodity and input markets, and either competitive or non-competitive markets.
