1.-Global. - To provide information on the content and work areas in anesthesiology, at the same time we aim for students to identify and know the characteristics of the knowledge that fall within this subject area and acquire enough training to handle and apply them to reasonable clinical situations so that, after learning the pertinent manoeuvers, they can attend to a sick person in whatever situation they are. Emphasis will be made on progressive knowledge, complexity of material and manoeuvers, from fewer to more resources. 2.-Specific. - In each topic of the program they will think about some specific, related objectives, which will be given to the pupil previously. At the same time the students will be directed to specific bibliography. To complete the information, and to clarify doubts, the students will attend tutorials. Theory Program 1. - Concept of anesthesiology, historical evolution and current state.Future perspectives. 2. - The patient's pre-anesthetic evaluation. Objectives, methodology and clinical utility. 3. - Pain. Concept, clinical classification. Characteristics and perspectives. 3. - Clinical assessment of patients with pain.
