| 1. To transmit to the pupil theoretical and practical knowledge enough to diagnose, without instrumental means, the main ophthalmological emergencies. 2. to know and to know how to apply first emergency aid in these cases 3. to recognize the ophthalmological manifestations of the systemic illnesses, especially in the Diabetes Mellitus. 4. to know theoretically the main ophthalmological affections : Conjunctivitis, Keratitis , Uveititis, Cataract and detachment of the retina, Glaucoma. 5. to know the main ophthalmological surgical techniques: Cataract surgery, Glaucoma, Vitrectomy, lasers, etc. 6. to clearly differentiate the functions of doctors and other paramedical professions implied in the ophthalmological attention, understanding the role of the different steps to which the other professions should be subordinated.
