Continguts
The programme is intended to extend the essential basic biochemical knowledge of the student of Pharmacy with a Biochemistry specifically focused on the human beings that, from a molecular point of view, will provide the rational basis for the understanding of 1) the cellular processes and the mechanisms underlying human disease (that explain its clinicial features), and its treatment, and 2) the fundamentals, the techniques and the applications of the different parameters and laboratory tests from Clinical Biochemistry currently used for the assessment, diagnosis and monitoring metabolic and genetic disorders. A balanced coordination between lectures and practical laboratory work, including several clinically relevant examples, will allow to take the basic knowledge to the practical context.
