In the theory sessions the teacher will introduce the statistical concepts and methods to the students. In the laboratory (computer room) the students will employ specific software to deal with the statistical problems.
Met. Avaluació
The final exam will consist of some practical questions and exercises. During the course the teacher will propose some case studies that will be evaluated.

Objetius
This course covers the principal statistical concepts as applied to law sciences. Basic methods required for statistical analysis of data are reviewed. At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to correctly analyze studies with continuous data, and test hypotheses regarding a simple regression, a comparison of proportions or two means, or a contingency table with count data.
