OBJECTIVES OF THE SUBJECT
This subject main purpose is to offer a general vision of the analysis of the main labour phenomena from the Economy, as well as of the situation and evolution of the Spanish labour market and its institutional frame in the last thirty years, with particular attention to the developed employment policies. Given the outline of the Degree, without giving up the analytic rigour of the Labour Economy, it will be done without excessively formalist positions and the theoretical analysis will be accompanied with applied reflections. This requires approaching and using the main economic focuses, although special attention will be paid to those that have a more institutionalist and applied character.

DYNAMICS OF THE COURSE
It is recommended that the student develops an active methodology of study, based on the reading of the bibliographical references that will be recommended for each topic, in the attendance and participation in class (especially in the practical sessions) and in the use of the tutorial hours. The lecturers won t follow any handbook systematically in the exposures. Nevertheless, there is a basic bibliography that is good for the general preparation of each topic by the student and a complementary bibliography on specific aspects or practical questions. The use of these references will be summed up throughout the course.

The contents of the programme will be approached theoretical as well as
