II. - INTRODUCTION This subject is included in the second cycle of Audiovisual Communication and Journalism studies to complete the students formation especially on the political and normative structure that conforms the reality of social communication media, especially the audiovisual ones, and interacts with these means to obtain some results. III. - GENERAL OBJECTIVES To study the knowledge and analyse the audiovisual media political and normative structure and their interactions, in Spain as well as in the European Union In this subject development,it firstly be necessary to study in depth of the mechanisms that allow the use and production of audiovisual effects, as well as the political power intervention through the regulation and historical antecedents of this relationship is necessary. In the second part of the subject politics and Spanish audiovisual regulation will be analysed, from the constitutional framework, studying the Spanish social media pattern and the control mechanisms on means and emissions, to the main projections of the current reality and the audiovisual policy s new challenges in Spain. Regarding the European audiovisual policies, the community competences that allow this policy s elaboration, their objectives and the main performances applied in the European Union in the audiovisual policies framework will be analysed.
