| Study of architectural culture in countries under Spanish rule in the Modern Age, both peninsular and overseas territories. ôBaroqueö expression in Spanish architecture, different historical perceptions, phases and limits will be aspects of study. Important aspects to be analyzed are those regarding the differentiation between international and vernacular baroque art, influence of Italian novelties and renovation of Hispanic traditions. Classical, regional and technical realities, the presence of architects and foreign projects are also studied in detail. Other areas of study include architectural theories that appeared in this period and the geographical environment in connection with cultural and scientific currents of diverse nature. |
