The aim of the course is the knowledge of the different artistic manifestations in the historical development of the Greek and Roman art. It begins with the study of the Greek archaic period , the severe, plenary and late classic and the Hellenist period, to continue with the presentation of the Roman art from the republican epoch, the high and low empire, until the end of the western Roman empire, approaching in the first place the architectural manifestations, sculpture and relief, the mosaic, painting and the ceramic corresponding to each historical stage, always under a chronological approach. |
