The aim of the course is to impart knowledge of different artistic displays through the historical development of Egyptian art and the different cultures of the ancient Near East; It begins with the tinita epoch, ancient, middle and new Egyptian empires, until the Ptolemaic epoch inclusive. It will then study the art of Mesopotamia, from the Sumerians and akkadians, to follow with the Babylon and Assyrian art; the historical evolution of the Persian, Hittite, Syrian and Phoenician art complete the cultural panorama of these cultures, in which first architecture is developed and then statues and relieves.
