It is a traverse subject that relates History of the Opera with the other art forms. It is, therefore, a complementary subject for students of History of Art, which shows how it corresponds with the arts. For this reason, part of the subject is dedicated to proposed stage sets, from Gian Lorenzo Bernini and the Baroque opera up to the present day. Obviously, the XIX century is the century of greatest importance, given the integrative nature of the arts in music and, especially, in opera. Consequently, the subject is viewed from the History of Art, understood as another manifestation of the History of Culture and Arts, following their orientations and aesthetic correspondence. |
