The aim of the course is the in-depth study of the history of the Roman architecture, optional subject that supplements the knowledge acquired by the student in the subject "classic art". After some notions on characteristic Roman techniques and buildings, we study the main architectural manifestations in western and eastern provinces of the Roman Empire, monographically approaching the study of some of the cities. The last part of this subject focuses on the in-depth knowledge of examples of roman architecture in Hispania, with special reference to the most significant nuclei. |
