| The aim of the subject is to make students learn about and understand the main pictorial manifestations which originate and coexit during the second half of the XIX century, paying special attention to the precedents, the evolution and the later transcendency of the French Impressionism. To achieve this it is necessary - among other things - to value the relations, the influences and the specific contributions of the works and the artists studied and to know how to integrate them in their historical context. |
