| Spanish art of the XX century, highlighting the most significant contributions and their relationship within the European context. Due to the importance and influence of Spaish art worldwide during the XXth century, the course has an international focus. The cosmopolitan tendencies are a important aspect of study as well as different independent trends or schools of art. An important aspect of the course looks at the Spanish Civil War and its influence on art in Spain: phases of artistic stagnation contrasted by others of great creativity. This will be an important aspect of study during the course. |
