Diffusion of the Renaissance in Europe studies the genesis and development of Renaissance art in the the XVth and XVIth centuries in European countries, except for Italy and Spain, as the Renaissance in these two countries is studied in separate subjects of History of Art. Therefore the diffusion of Renaissance art in the following countries will be the object of study: France, the Netherlands, England, Germany and Central Europe, Austria, Russia and Scandinavia. The Renaissance and Italian influence do not have the same impact all over Europe and each country offers a series of different characteristics, but the Renaissance in a phenomenon that spreads all over Europe and, with the Spanish discovery of America, almost all America and the Philippine Islands. The subject seeks to offer an in depth study of the impact the Renaissance had on artistic expression in the European countries stated previously.
