The program is divided in two parts. In the first, briefer (5 topics), approaches questions such as the epistemologic reflection on the subject, documentary sources and basic bibliography, or the main means of acting at the disposal of International Relations (armed forces, diplomacy and international rights). The second (11 topics) seeks to capture the journey of European International Relations during the three centuries that comprise the Modern Age. The shortage of specific Manuals to study this issue makes it necessary to try to provide a coherent and comprehensible evolution of the relationships between the different political entities. More than the narration of events, it is more interesting to highlight the main thread that moves international politics and that is, in its turn, the result of a whole lot of interests, deficiencies and possibilities of different countries. |
