| The subject provides quite a detailed introduction on the main aspects of religion in the Greek and Roman world, and contemplates the aspects relative to the gods, worship and rituals, priesthoods, the places of worship and public celebrations, as well as aspects regarding relgion within the family and privacy. An important part of the course is dedicated to reading and commenting on significant texts regarding religious organization (sacred laws, regulations, ways of worship, oaths, oracles, etc.). |
