This subject is directed towards philosophy students, but also offers the possibility of increasing knowlegde of the Latin language for those students who took Latin in high school. Students will be acquire knowledge of Roman philosophical culture through literature.

1. Translation and commentary on latin philosophical texts, mostly by Cicero and Seneca.
2. Fundamental aspects of latin grammar.
2.1. Phonetics and phonology.
2.2. Nominal and verbal morfosintaxis.
2.3. Sentence sintaxis.
2.4. Lexicography and semantics.
2.5. History of Latin language.
3. Latin Literature
3.1. Concept of ½latin literature”. Lit. genre and periods.
3.2. Philosophical literature: form and authors
3.3. Presence of literature in different literary genre.
