The course will be devoted to Kant, the great classic who typicallly represents the modern epistemological turn and the confirmation of the Theory of the Knowledge. We will consider the Critique of Pure Reason (KrV) as base for his work. The course gives a basic knowledge on the History of Philosophy until the XVIII century for granted, but at the same time it will give students an opportunity for its in-depth study. It will constantly demand consults to that history. It should be taken into consideration that Plato, Aristotle, the Middle Ages, Bacon, Descartes, Galileo, Copernicus, Newton, Locke, Hobbes, Hume, Berkeley, Wolff, Leibniz, constitute explicit references (to mention only the essentials) on which Kant - recomposes - with a new different approach - the sense of the philosophy, giving to it a renewed critical function and transforming the critique of the rationality into a defining and compulsory task of the philosophy itself. We will try to understand that the thematic consecration of a Theory of the knowledge, to which the understanding and academic articulation of the philosophy has been attributed, implies the problem of a transcendental order and beyond it the metaphysical problem in the sense of " metaphysics " set by modernity and strictly defined by Kant. The subject will especially promote the Analysis and Commentary of the Critique of Pure Reason, that is to say, the active-practical dimension, the dialogue, of the study. Depending on the n
