| Both the documentary videos and the language in class will be German. The participants will have a level of German to participate in basic discussions and to be willing to participate in an active way in class. Attendance is required. |

| Class topics will touch on the daily life, typical parties, the political system / health / retirement, young people, the school system, music, foreigners in Germany, as the German geography and several cities (videos) as examples of the communities. As basic work materials, videotapes will be used, both documentaries and movies, which will be object of analysis and later discussion. Since this seminar does not have a predetermined content, the students can also propose topics to try in class. Objectives / Lehrziele: The main objective of the subject is to deepen in the knowledge of the geography, contemporary culture and customs of Germany. It also seeks to improve the oral dexterities and the capacity of the students' expression. |
