Objetius
To help the students become familiar with the main English dialects spoken by the majority of inhabitants both in Britain and other English speaking countries. In this way the students will be able to contrast said dialects with the spoken and written standards which they have already studied in many other courses. This will help students’ aural comprehension of everyday speech as well as giving them an insight into cultural differences of which dialect and accent are just two aspects.
