| Descripción del Curso/Contents for the course Theory: Unit 1: The linguistic method in translation. Unit 2: The methodology of translation processes, Text typology. Faithfulness and fluency. Translation principles. Translation techniques. Unit 3: Translation criticism. Evaluation and criticism from the point of view of translation studies. Practice: Practice will consist in translation and commentary of short passages from English into Spanish and also from Spanish into English. Objetivos/Aims of the Course - To introduce the student to the practice of English-Spanish and Spanish-English translation. |
