OBJECTIVES:

Learned norm description and Spanish language uses.

SYLLABUS

1. Standard language and diatopic, diastratic and diaphasic varieties of the Spanish language. Outstanding phenomena of Hispanic dialectology. Spanish academic norm. Information about Rae (Spanish Royal Academy of Language).
2. Written Spanish language: Frequent grammatical mistakes among all sociocultural levels speakers.
3. Spelling: Orthographic changes in "Spanish language Spelling's" new edition (1999) of the Royal Spanish Academy of Language.Punctuation signs correct use in a text writing. Abbreviations and initials. Foreign expressions.
4. Edition in a Spanish text: Edition rules and typography. Symbols used in tests correction 5. Lexicon and Lexicography: dictionaries types and utilities. Appearance and neologisms creation in the media. Lexical Americanisms: lexical differences between Spain and Spanish-American countries. American modalities dictionaries of the Spanish language.
