| The aim of this subject is to apply and to deepen the students' knowledge of Social and Cultural Anthropology, which are the object of the sessions in the theoretical module. Therefore, the students will be introduced to Social and Cultural Anthropology, as follows: Unit 1. The Social and Cultural Anthropology:objects, fields and fundamental concepts. READING: - SCHEURMANN, Erich (1988), Los Papalagi, Barcelona; Integral. - Techniques of the field: Participant observation. Unit 2. The anthropological thought and the anthropology as a science: precursors, anthropologists and theories. MOVIE: "En una tierra salvaje" Unit 4. Cultures, ethnicity and intercultural relations DOCUMENTARY RESEARCH (analysis of press texts) Unit 5. Relationship, family and social organization: society, nature and culture. TECHNIQUES OF THE FIELD: Field paper about family, gender roles and social reproduction. Elaboration and analysis of a relationship card. Units 5, 6 and 7. Economic organization, political organization, beliefs, ideology, symbols and vision of the world. |
