The aim of the course is to provide a basic knowledge of the structure and spectroscopy of atoms and molecules as well as of their applications. There are exposed both the theoretical bases and the experimental technologies.

PROGRAM OF THEORY:
1. Basic properties of the atom.
2. Atoms of an only electron.
3. Interaction of atoms of an only electron with the electromagnetic radiation
4. Interaction of atoms of an only electron with electrical and magnetic fields. Thin and hyperthin structures.
5. Atoms of two electrons.
6. Atoms of many electrons.
7. Interaction of atoms of many electrons with the electromagnetic field.
8. Spectra of X rays.
9. Molecular structure
10. Molecular spectroscopy.
11. Laser and Máseres.
12. Atomic collisions. Basic concepts and dispersion for a potential.
13. Collisions among atoms and molecules.
14. Applications of the Atomic Physics.
