Met. Docent |
Lectures will combine both black-board develpment and computer presentations with special stress on examples based on specific semiconductors. |
Met. Avaluació |
The final grade will correspond to the exam result made up of a theoretical part, consisting basically of questions (3/4) and another of problem solving (1/4). Students may present a project to improve their grade (by up to 1 point). |

Objetius |
The objective of this module is to provide the students with an introduction to the transport properties of semiconductor (statistic of electrons and holes, carrier's dispersion, generation and recombination of nonequilibrim carriers) and to show how those properties, together with the optical properties, determine the characteristics, efficiency and limitations of some basic electronic and optoelectronic devices. |
