| The concrete content of the term includes a first set of introductory themes about basic aspects such as the approximation to the concept, definition and history of the Psychology of the Personality, together with its situation in the framework of other disciplines of the Psychology and the main strategies used in their evaluation. In another of the themes one of the most prominent aspects/controversies is presented linked with the Psychology of the Personality and referred to the stability, consistency and change in personality. Subsequently, a perspective of the paradigms, research and main theories of the personality is offered, and the multivariate proposal, in which the investigation in Psychology of the Personality has been framed fundamentally, is formulated. At the same time, the study or research in personality is undertaken in a specific way, emphasizing the main empirical results obtained in this discipline and attention is granted also to one of the traditional themes of study in the area of personality, one that has revived with force in recent years: the concept of self. Finally, the content deals with some applications of the Psychology of the Personality and it ends with some reflections about the present view of the discipline. These contents would be articulated in different ways according to the program of each professor. |

| To offer the students a general view of the basic knowledge of the Psychology of the Personality: conceptual and historic framework, main theoretical and methodological approaches, procedural aspects, differentiation of and contributions to other disciplines of Psychology. At the same time it intends to develop a scientific and critical sense with regard to the matter and to approach the students to diverse applied aspects of the Psychology of the Personality. |
