Introduction to the Micro-economy develops the basic concepts of the Micro-economic Theory studied in the course "Introduction to the Economy" and it is therefore appropriate for students that possess previous notions of this concept. The course describes and analyzes the behavior of the different economic agents individually, as well as their interrelation in goods and factors markets. Content will be presented using three main focuses: graphic, literary and analytic. The analytic focus will show the rigor, precision and internal coherence that characterizes the subject. The syllabus is divided into four thematic blocks: I. CONSUMER BEHAVIOR. Theory of demand II. COMPANY BEHAVIOR. Production and costs. III. COMPETITIVE AND NON COMPETITIVE MARKETS: monopoly and oligopoly. IV. FACTOR MARKETS |
