| The objective of the subject is to offer a vision of the role of money and the financial system in the economy, as well as of the company and the bank sector and of the microfundamentals of the process of creation of monetary offers. The content of the subject is the following: Theme 1. financing of economic activity. Theme 2. financial intermediation. Theme 3. The bank as a company. Theme 4. Costs and productivity. Theme 5. Margins and profitability. Theme 6. competition in the bank sector. Theme 7. recent changes in the bank sector: integration, competition and efficiency in the European bank markets. Theme 8. Saving, credit and growth. Theme 9. The demand for money. Theme 10.monetary offers and the bank system. Theme 11.monetary policy.
