Continguts
The course Economic History of Europe has a double objective . In the first place, the study of the main economic changes that occured in the European countries in the XX century, putting special emphasis on the similarities and divergences in their evolutionary patterns. In second place, this subject seeks to examine the main historical events that took place during this century. The class will try to analyze the long term transformations that allowed, starting from end of the fifties and until beginnings of the crisis of 1974, a spectacular growth of the European economy and, after the rupture of the Golden age, a rhythm of much slower growth but superior to the habitual one of the period previous to 1950. Likewise, the changes of the political and economic objectives will be studied in each one of the stages.
