Continguts
The study of modern economic analysis, and of economic theory in particular, it can improve if the processes are understood that gave origin to the different theories. The purpose of this subject is essentially educational:

to) to Clarify, to organise and to understand the processes of the evolution of the economic theories.
b) to analyze the relationships that exist among the theories.
c) to perceive the effects and the limits that are possessed by the different theories for the understanding of the economic phenomena.
d) to Contribute to an evaluation of the management and the sense of scientific progress in economy.

It is sought to provide a systematic study and education of the principle economic theories that have arisen from the last third of the XIX century until the present day.

The program of the course is the following :

1. general introduction: From commercialism to Marx.
2. the victory of utilitarianism and the marginalist revolution . Marginalism and historicism.
3. consolidation of the neoclassical economy.
4. the years of the Advanced Theory.
5. contemporary economic theory.
