| There are two questions that the conventional economic analysis of the public sector has ignored: the evaluation of the goods and services that lack monetary prices and the analysis of one of the most decisive activities in the State:public regulation. Courses are devoted to these two tasks, the courses of two corresponding optional subjects of fifth year: public economic evaluation and public economic regulation. It is sought then to fill the gap in the information that the students are receiving in the Degree of Economics in connection with the operation of the public sector. The program of the subject is the following one: Topic 1. Evaluation, outline of priorities and administration. Topic 2. The economic perspective: economic evaluation I. Topic 3. The economic perspective: economic evaluation II. Topic 4. The problematic field of the economy: public economic evaluation. Topic 5. Approaches to economic evaluation: productivity, effectiveness and efficiency. Topic 6. Approaches to economic evaluation: efficiency, fairness and profitability. Topic 7. Techniques of economic evaluation: analysis of cost-benefits, analysis of cost-effectiveness and analysis of cost-utility. Topic 8. singular Evaluations: value of a life, value of time, value of pain. Topic 9. public economic Evaluation of the Provision of sanitary service. Topic 10. Public economic evaluation of the Provision of sanitary service. |
