| In-depth study of some of the concepts introduced in Applied Industrial Economics. Strategic interaction among firms. Comparative statics in oligopoly and a brief introduction to the resolution of games in several stages. After presenting the necessary instruments to follow the course, we will discuss two basic topics: product differentiation and multiproduction. Issues on cartels, vertical relations, mergers and international oligopolies. During the course we will emphasize the understanding of the use of analytic instruments and their application to real cases. Theory and evidence are confronted in the discussion of the implications of competition policies and business strategies. PROGRAMME: Topic 1. Comparative statics and games in several stages. Topic 2.
