The main purpose of this subject is to offer students a complete, although accessible focus, of one main aspect of modern microeconomics; theory of demand. This objective is achieved offering explanations of the main results and highlighting the common mathematical structures ( maximising behavior and properties of balance) of many economic problems. In the first part of the program economic theory of election is presented. One of the main objectives of this study is to explain the concept of demand in a formal way in order to enable its use in Microeconomy II and other subjects. Another more general objective is to explain the theory that the economists use to explain decisions that individuals make in a wide variety of situations. In the second part of the program production and economic goods offer, will be examined. The objective of this part is to develop methods that will enable company production decission analysis, studied in a broader sense in Microeconomy II. PROGRAM: Topic 1. PREFERENCES AND UTILITY.
