OBJETIVES:
The arthropods constitute the most numerous and diverse animal group in nature. This subject is an approach to the study of arthropods and more specifically hexapods. On completion of this course the students should be able to know the entomological terminology, the groups of insects, their importance and their interaction with the environment. To achieve this, we will study the two main basic areas of Entomology (Insect Morphology and Systematic Entomology) and a brief introduction to the Ecology of insects and Applied Entomology.
