SYLLABUS:
GENOME STRUCTURE AND ORGANIZATION Foundations. Gene mollecular structure. Genome organization in viruses. Genome organization in eubacteria. Genome organization in archaea. Genome organization in eukaryotics.ORGANULE genome.
GENETICAL CHANGE MECHANISMS: Mollecular bases of genomic evolution. Mechanisms of repair . Recombining. Genic conversion. Transposition. Genome evolution.

OBJETIVES:
The subject is divided in two parts. In the first part we will study the mollecular structure of the gene, and the organization of the genome throughout the evolutive scale: viruses, prokaryotics and eukaryotics. For the latter, we will do an in-depth study of the constituent elements of the nuclear genome and ORGANULE. In the second part we will study the mechanisms related to genome dynamics and evolution.
